Every year, SPORTELMonaco brings out the best literary production on sports by organizing the international competition for Best Illustrated Sports Book.

For the 11th consecutive year, this Prize honors 3 books whose originality, rich and well-chosen illustrations enable us to deeply dive into the emotion of sport.

Last year, 44 books from 7 countries did participate in the competition.

The winners were awarded during the prestigious ceremony of the Golden Podium Awards, prizing the multiple formats of sporting pictures at the Grimaldi Forum of Monaco, on Tuesday 21 October, 2008.

A Jury composed of professionals from the fields of journalism, edition and sports gathered to designate the winners awarded by our 3 prestigious sponsors :

• The International Olympic Committee
• The French National Olympic and Sports Committee
• The Monaco Olympic Committee
