What they said about their SPORTELRio experience !
First of all, I would like to congratulate you for the success of SportelRio. It was very good for us and for sure we will gonna be there next year.
Guilherme Mynssen, Account / Project Manager, ALFACAM BRAZIL
Our Federation is very happy with our debut at Sportel Rio 2012. The results were above our expectations. We had the opportunity to meet face to face with the Brazilian TV Networks and potential sponsors to discuss our projects and events. We are looking forward to participate again in 2013!
Eric Leme Walther Maleson, BRAZILIAN ICE SPORTS FEDERATION
Choosing Rio as the venue for the small Sportel this March was a full success. We were impressed not only with the charms and beauty of Rio and its people but especially with the number of high-caliber Sportel participants from all over the world. The Sportel Rio was spot on for DFL Sports Enterprises and we hope to be returning to Rio for the next Sportel in the Americas.
Kay DAMMHOLZ, Vice President Sales Audiovisual Rights, DFL Sports Enterprises GmbH (Germany)
Listen to the full interview | To bring all these people involved in this industry to this market, creates great business opportunities and justifies the upcoming events in Brazil. The global press and broadcasting are fundamental to generate more interest for Brazil and the World Cup or Olympic Games! (...) Wherever a SPORTEL is hosted, we will have a presence simple because this platform and the opportunities are essential to our business. It is fundamental to have everybody in one place.. all meetings are frequent and tightly scheduled, but are extremely important, because you have the chance to speak about sports to the entire world! (...) Of course we will be in Monaco! We will be there with a great team and will once again make our mark in the industry. Joao PALOMINO, Journalism Director, ESPN DO BRASIL EVENTOS ESPORT

We are very happy that Sportel took place in Rio de Janeiro for the first time. With the upcoming World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016, interest in the country of football is increasing. TV Globo, the largest media company in Brazil, congratulates Sportel for this event, which is very important in exposing Brazil on the international market.
Raphael Correa, Head of International Sales. GLOBO TV SPORTS (Brazil)
Encore félicitation à toute léquipe du SPORTEL Rio 2012. Un salon dune grande qualité et surtout un rendez-vous incontournable dans ce domaine.
Philippe Mendes, General Manager, MEDIATREE (France)
Sportel Rio was great for me. Spring is generally a smaller market than the autumn one but with that comes ease of navigating the conference, greater focus on priority meetings and the ability to build deeper relationships. For us, it presented a great mix of local/Latam broadcasters and media partners, as well as leading global companies.
Rhys Beer, Commercial Director, Omnisport, PERFORM (United Kingdom)
I thought the show was great...the South American marketplace is obviously something that is just now really coming into its own from a programming perspective. So getting a chance to see the rapid growth up close and in person was wonderful. And the mix of people, both exhibitors and attendees, was spot on perfect. Looking forward to October!
Ken Kerschbaumer, Director of Information & Editorial Services, SPORTS VIDEO GROUP (USA)
A great location for a Sportel, (...) there were a good number of major players at the market which made it a very successful one for us.
Julian Jackson, Chief Media Officer, TOTAL SPORTS ASIA (Malaysia)
Rio de Janeiro was an excellent city and the Sofitel was an excellent venue for the Sportel Spring 2012. I am also glad with the turn-out of participants from Latin America and Brazil in particular, which is important in the lead-up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Didier Miéville, Marketing & Communication Director, WORLD ARCHERY (Switzerland)
As you should know wTVision has been attending Sportel events, for several times, as an exhibitor or visitor... As it has always been a huge success for us, we immediately considered being present. Regarding the fact that Brazil is one of the BRIC's and the Latin American economy is growing so prosperous, Rio de Janeiro was a great choice (also for the fact that we've just opened an office here). Despite of the fact that this was the first edition in South America, it was definitely a great bet and judging by the amount of companies that were there represented. It was a great possibility for us to connect with the most important companies in the sport industry, everyone looked very eager to establish business in this promising market. Congratulations for such a successful event and thank you again for this great opportunity!
Vera Sardinha, Assistant Marketing & Communication, WTVISION (Brazil)
There was a real buzz about Sportel Rio and all the great things that are clearly happening in Brazil as it prepares for the Olympics and Football World Cup. WWE is counting down the days until it returns to Brazil with its live events in Sao Paolo and Rio on 23 and 24 May 2012.
