SPORTELRio 2012 exceeds all expectations!

Rio de Janeiro, March 14, 2012 – The first ever SPORTEL to be held in South America was a sensational success! General Manager of SPORTEL, Ms. Amparo Di Fede announced this morning that SPORTELRio 2012 has exceeded all expectations. “It was SPORTEL’s goal to set a platform for the world and Brazil. Due to the upcoming FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games, Brazil has moved into the spotlight of the global sports media industry. Brazil seeks partners globally and the world is keen to work with Brazil.” Ms. Di Fede continues.

The first SPORTELRio was hosted in the Sofitel Copacabana and the venue was packed as 567 participants, 312 companies of a total of 48 nations registered to do business together, making this event one of the most successful SPORTEL markets outside Monaco.

“SPORTEL is fortunate to have so many loyal participants and exhibitors return and also support the cross continental markets, but I am extremely pleased with the increase in variety of new attendees.” SPORTELRio welcomes all new partners such as the CBDG Brazilian Ice Sports Federation, SPORT EXTRA TIME, VSN, ANTENA LATINA, PRONAMEZ and HEGO.

Throughout the market exhibitors and visitors alike have praised the high quality of the market and business realized during the past few days. All participants spoke of a “great vibe” throughout the show and have requested that SPORTEL returns in 2013.

We already are in preparation for the next show and look forward to welcoming you at the upcoming SPORTELMonaco 2012, with a market of new opportunities and a wide variety of business solutions. SPORTELMonaco 2012 will open doors from October 15 to 18, 2012 on the two levels in the Grimaldi Forum.
