Professional sports constantly seek new ways to improve performances, break records and reach a certain form of perfection. In this perspective, the recent rise of big data deeply changes the way we think about sports.
Sports organizations, teams, players, broadcasters and other private companies have become increasingly sophisticated in the data that they collect, use, control and monetize.
This (r)evolution of data raises unprecedented legal challenges for every sports stakeholder: how does data influence sports betting? Is it now possible to predict (and avoid) injuries? How is data analytics changing TV viewers' experience?
These are some of the questions that will be debated by several leading international experts during the 2nd edition of the SPORTEL Law Conference, Wednesday 25 October, organised in collaboration with droitdusport.com, the legal publisher, and Football Legal, the international journal dedicated to football law.
